Patek Philippe Calatrava ref. 570

The king of Patek’s mid-century Calatrava line, the 570 holds a special place in collector’s hearts. At 35mm it’s a timeless reference that wears as well today as it did 60 years ago. Simplicity at its finest. This particular example is cased in solid 18k yellow gold and features center seconds and is powered by the manual wind cal. 27 SC movement.

The watch dates to the early 1960s. The watch is preserved in honest original condition. The case has seen a good deal of wear and has likely been polished but remains even. The dial is very attractive with strong raised enamel signature. It has normal wear for the era, most notably a small dimple near 12 o’clock when viewed under magnification. It’s fresh to market and was the daily wear watch of the original owner. It’s easy to see why he loved it, it has the perfect amount of wear and character. It’s an easy one to strap to your wrist and instantly put to use. The watch is paired with a new strap as well as a period correct 18k yellow gold 16mm AW buckle.
