Patek Philippe ref 130 "Pink on Pink"

Every ref 130 chronograph is special; this particular example is just a little more so. This 130 is cased in solid 18k rose gold and features a matching, tone-on-tone, rose dial confirmed by its Extract from the Archives. An exceedingly rare and doubtlessly beautiful combination. These pink-on-pink configurations have long been the darling of collectors world wide, and it’s easy to see why. They’re drop dead gorgeous. We tend to see pink/pink Pateks come out of South and Central America and this example is no exception; I found it in Colombia one step removed from the original owner’s family.

The watch dates to 1942 and is preserved in fantastic condition. The case remains thick and has a very attractive rose glow. The dial has been cleaned in the past but retains strong enameling throughout. The tone of this dial really sings; it has an overall warmth to it that I can’t take my eye off of particularly in sunlight. The watch is accompanied by a Patek signed strap and period correct 18k buckle. The crown is a later service replacement. It comes with a freshly issued Extract from the Archives from Patek Philippe dating original sale to April 12th, 1943 and confirming the originality of the rose dial. A rare opportunity to own an exceptionally rare and attractive example.
