Omega Speedmaster 145.022-68 'Transitional'

For a brief period of time Omega produced the transitional reference 145.022-68. This is the Speedmaster reference that marked the shift from Omega’s caliber 321 movement to their prolific 861. The -68 is particularly special because it still has many of the key attributes of its predecessor; Dot over ninety (DON) bezel, applied Omega logo, long hour markers, step dial, and an elegant flat link bracelet.

This particular example has all above the above attributes and is in remarkable original, unpolished condition. The dial has even cream colored lume plots. The DON bezel is in strikingly good condition with only minor marks from wear. The case is unpolished and thick (very rare for vintage Speedmasters). The watch was purchased directly from the granddaughter of the original owner and is in gorgeous original condition.
