Cartier Tank Louis 18k ref. 96019 Extra Plate

Here we have a classic Cartier Tank Louis cased in solid 18k yellow gold. If you noticed that this example looks a bit slimmer than your average offering go ahead and pat yourself on the back. This isn’t your average tank louis. This is a ref. 96019 Extra Plate (Ultra Thin). This watch sits absolutely beautifully on the wrist. Although similarly proportioned to the standard ref 78086 at 23 × 31mm it’s clear these Extra Plate’s reign supreme. I also love the case construction on this reference. The case screws are positioned on the back of the case rather than the sides, giving the watch a sleek look on the wrist. Pair that with the elongated blue sapphire cabochon crown and it’s clear why these are so special.

The watch is accompanied by it’s original 18k yellow gold deployant buckle and is fitted with a Cartier signed lizard strap measuring a whopping 8 inches in total circumference.
