Cartier Tank Louis Extra Flat Ref. 96065 w/ 18k 'Grain de Riz' Bracelet

Cartier is a brand synonymous with elegance and this bond is never more evident than with the Tank Louis. Named after the brand’s founder, Louis Cartier, this model is the quintessential tank. Louis Cartier himself named this model “The Tank” after the Renault FT-17 tanks used during WWI when it was first released in 1917. The Tank Louis is what many instantly envision when they first hear the word Cartier. It is truly the classic of all classic tanks. The case measures 24mm x 30mm which is the prime vintage size for a men’s tank.

This particular example is a ref. 96065 Extra Flat dating to the 1990s preserved in phenomenal original condition. This is the guilloche dial variant which adds so much depth and texture, particularly in sunlight. The watch is housed in a solid 18k yellow gold case and is accompanied by its original and rare 18k yellow gold ‘grain de riz’ bracelet. The bracelet is fabulous and measures 7.25 inches in length.
